In The Silence, When Words Are Not Enough
By producing innovative relief projects and programs, RenegAID™ is dedicated to improving people’s ability to reestablish themselves in catastrophic disasters.
RenegAID™,
born out of the
Hurricanes Katrina-Rita disaster, is an association of individuals with
a vision for innovative humanitarian aid. Our purpose is to
provide humanitarian relief, product, consultation and
distribution.
Our
Board is made up of passionate people who want to be involved, people
with experience, people with a young, fresh vision, people who believe
relentlessly that they can make a difference. RenegAID™ has
no paid employees. Board members are expected to help with
idea creation and with the fundraising possibilities to make the ideas
work. We depend upon each other to succeed in our
mission. We have 2 primary focuses:
Infrastructure Regeneration
Our first two
years were busy with the completion of the Children’s Blanket Label
Disaster Healing Project (and three other Keeping Hope Alive
projects). We worked with children on the Mississippi Delta,
south of New Orleans after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita (Pointe Aux
Chenes Elementary). The children made gifts of love and hope
which, by school choice, were hand delivered in Indonesia to children
of disasters there through partnering with International Humanity
Foundation (IHF). Community support was wonderful in helping
this project succeed.
RenegAID™’s international
Board is currently
addressing the complexities of its upcoming Infrastructure Regeneration
project: Ready-To-Go Bikes. We are developing a
plan to facilitate gathering and delivery of good used bikes to
catastrophic disasters as a natural process of initial humanitarian
aid. In total chaos there is an immediate need for basic
modes of transportation when infrastructure is completely
destroyed. Bikes can also be adapted for many other survival
uses.
Our desire is to make a
difference. We hope you enjoy learning about us and the
people we serve.
Sincerely,
Eunice Stime
