Eunice Stime is one of RenegAID™’s Incorporating Board members, served as RenegAID’s first president for over 10 years, and is currently serving as Secretary of the Board.
She is co-creator of the Disaster Quilt™ Project and creator of the Children’s Blanket Label Healing Project. Stime and board member Pat Pate along with the help of Darlene Rickett developed text for a free online curriculum: Comprehending Chaos, A Framework for Understanding Disaster.
Stime and Pate developed the groundbreaking framework for understanding the differences between our two languages: our everyday language and the Language of Survival and Regeneration. Stime and Pate also created RenegAID Talking Points.
Other RenegAID projects Stime has been involved with include college student Service-Learning responses to both the Haiti Earthquake of 2010 and the Japan earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown in 2011.
During the early days after Hurricane Katrina, Stime drove to the Gulf as an independent volunteer, providing innovative approaches to psychological needs including converting her SUV into a mobile kiosk of information and used a mobile coffee shop approach in the morning and popsicle shop in the afternoon to reach and assess individuals cut off by the storm. She has experience working along side Non-Governmental Organizations like Ox-Fam, Hands-On, International Relief and Development, Islamic Relief, and Can-Do through the East Biloxi Coordination and Relief Center and she is a supporter of Emergency Communities.
Stime is a graduate of Alexandria Hospital School of Nursing in Alexandria, Virginia and has done additional undergraduate work at Washington State University and Lutheran Bible Institute (Trinity Lutheran College). She has nursing experience (RN) in public, private, mission and disaster. She also served as an AmeriCorps VISTA.
In 1983, Eunice was part of the project, Helping Ourselves Means Education (the project developer received the Presidential Award for Volunteerism in Education from President Reagan). Stime was also a licensed real estate agent/broker and was the 2007 Whitman County (Washington) Association of Realtors® President. She is a past Chair of their Grievance/Professional Standards Committee and was the recipient of the Association’s President’s and Humanitarian Awards in 2005. She is a member through RenegAID of the Palouse, Washington Chamber of Commerce.
